The before, during, & after of pelvic floor evaluation and treatment

 

A physician referral for Occupational Therapy is required before beginning pelvic floor therapy. Prior to our first meeting I will email you intake paperwork for you to fill out.  All sessions will take place in the privacy and comfort of your own home.

If before your first visit you'd like to discuss the plan and what to expect I am happy to provide any additional information you may need to feel comfortable. 

During our first visit you will receive a thorough evaluation which will range from 60-90 minutes. The evaluation will include a review of your intake forms and a discussion of your specific concerns and goals for treatment.  I will evaluate your posture and strength and will complete an external and internal assessment of your pelvic floor if deemed appropriate and with your consent. Based on the results we will make a treatment plan together.

Treatment may include exercise programs, biofeedback, manual therapy, dietary modifications, mindfulness training and lots of education. 

 

After your evaluation we will discuss our plan and schedule follow up appointments as indicated.  

 

At the end of each session you will be provided with exercises and skills to work on before our next session.  I will be available via email between session for questions. If this is one-time session you will be provided with a home exercise program and are welcome to follow up as needed via email.

Pelvic Floor Therapy Services (prescription required): 

• Pelvic Floor Therapy Evaluation (90 min): $175

• Pelvic Floor Therapy Follow up visits (60 min): $100

At this time insurance is not accepted.  This means I am considered an "out of network provider". Many insurances reimburse for out of network occupational therapy services so contact your insurance provider to find out if this is an option for you.  I will be happy to provide you with a bill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
